Hyundai India has launched the 3rd generation i10 in the country, named as the Grand i10 Nios, with prices starting at Rs 499,990 ex-showroom, Pan India. Variant wise introductory ex-showroom prices below –

Compared to the Grand i10 (2nd gen i10), the Nios is significantly larger, measuring 3,805 mm in length (+40 mm), 1,680 mm in width (+20 mm) and 1,520 mm in height (same). Wheelbase measures 2,450 mm, which is 25 mm more than the 2nd gen i10.
Exterior features include projector headlamps, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, gloss-black grille, chrome door handles, Gi10 branding on the C-pillar, shark fin antenna, and 15-inch Diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The designers have also added a touch of chrome on the rear hatch door for a premium appeal. The Sportz and Asta trims also get roof rails. Buyers have 6 colors to choose from – Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Alpha Blue, and Aqua Teal. For those who want a dual-tone finish, Hyundai is offering Aqua Teal with Black Roof, and Polar White with Black Roof.
The interiors look a lot more premium than before, especially with this black theme and Red or Aqua Teal accents offered on dual-tone models.
Depending on the trim, other features include SmartKey with push-button Start/Stop, leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt adjustability, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay compatibility, 5.4-inch digital speedometer-MID, Voice Recognition, Arkamys Premium Sound, auto AC, Eco Coating, USB charger, wireless phone charging, driver seat height adjustment, adjustable headrests, cooled glovebox, rear AC vents, all four power windows with driver-side auto-down, and electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs. More information here.
As for safety, Hyundai says that the Grand i10 Nios is built with 65% high strength steel (AHSS + HSS). Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver & passenger seat belt pretensioners & load limiters, driver & passenger seat belt reminder, Emergency Stop Signal (panic brake signal), and rear parking sensors are standard across all variants. Higher variants also get front projector fog lamps, Day/Night IRVM, rear camera, rear defogger, speed sensing auto door lock and impact sensing auto door unlock features.

Powertrains
Powering the Grand i10 Nios are 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines; the former is BS6 compliant. The 1,197 cc 4-cylinder Kappa petrol engine offers 83 hp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The diesel is a 1,186 cc 3-cylinder U2 CRDi unit, producing 75 hp at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque between 1,750-2,250 rpm. The output figures of both engines are the same as the 2nd gen model; both engines can be paired either with a 5-speed manual or an AMT.

Hyundai is offering 3 years/100,000 km or 4 years/50,000 km or 5 years/40,000 km warranty for the new Grand i10 Nios. The regular Grand i10 (2nd gen i10) will also be sold alongside the new model.
