The Ferrari 488 Pista is already a hardcore, track-focused version of the 488 with an additional 50 hp. While the 720 hp is enormous for you and me, it’s not a big number for some people. Which is why Novitec has come up with this Sports Package for the Pista.
The package begins with naked-carbon body components, which includes front splitter, rocker panels, carbon inserts for the ORVMs, spoiler lip at the rear, and carbon surrounds for the taillights. The side indicators and the third brake light have been blacked-out. The forged wheels from Vossen measure 21-inch at front and 22-inch at the rear, shod with Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 21 and 335/25 ZR 22, respectively.
The hydraulic suspension lowers the ride height by about 35 mm. The front lift system can raise the front axle by 40 mm at the touch of a button in the cockpit, making it easier to navigate ramps in parking spaces or speed breakers. The front end reverts to its original position at another touch of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h. The stock damper adjustment of the vehicle is fully retained, Novitec said.
Upon request, Novitec can customize the cockpit with leather and Alcantara in any desired color and with any upholstery design.
As for the business end, Novitec plugs-in two N-Control modules to the engine electronics, which has a newly programmed mapping for injection and ignition while increasing the electronic boost pressure limit.
The 3.9L (3,902 cc) V8 twin-turbo now develops 60 kW (82 hp) and 128 Nm more, taking the output to 590 kW (802 hp) at 7,950 rpm and 898 Nm of torque at 3,100 rpm. 0 – 100 km/h acceleration is claimed to happen in 2.7 seconds and the top speed is 345 km/h.
Novitec also offers a high-performance exhaust system, which comes in different versions with or without electronic sound management with active exhaust flaps. Buyers also have a choice of stainless steel or Inconel systems.
