The new generation Corolla sedan and Corolla hatchback have received Nightshade treatment in the U.S., with prices starting at $22,750 and $22,290, respectively. The Nightshade Edition is based on the SE grade with CVT.
As the name suggests, the package features blacked-out Toyota, Corolla and SE badging; black grille surround and black-painted rocker panels; black ORVMs, black window trim, and black outside door handles. At the rear, the sedan gets a black boot lid spoiler while the hatchback gets a black roof spoiler, and both models get a black diffuser insert.
Smoked headlamps
Blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels and a black roof-mounted shark fin antenna complete the Nightshade package. Available colors for the sedan include Super White, Classic Silver Metallic and Black Sand Pearl, while the hatchback can also be had in Midnight Black Metallic.
More options for the new Corolla hatchback include a black roof; will be available with Blizzard Pearl, Oxide Bronze, Classic Silver Metallic, Smoked Paprika, and Blue Flame colors. The SE grade is also getting an enhanced cargo space option, which removes the spare tire and lowers the cargo floor, adding 6 cubic feet (170 litres) of cargo capacity. This package will include a Tire Repair Kit (TRK) in lieu of a spare tire; will be available on both the CVT and 6MT SE grades, Toyota said.
