The xDrive30d models are powered by a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that offers 195 kW (265 hp) at 4000 rpm and 620 Nm torque at 1500-2500 rpm. The diesel X5 is claimed to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 230 km/h.
The petrol xDrive40i packs a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo unit too, producing 250 kW (340 hp) at 5500-6500 rpm and 450 Nm torque at 1500-5200 rpm. This one can do 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.5 seconds and can go up to a speed of 243 km/h, apparently.
