Triumph has launched the 2019 Street Twin and 2019 Street Scrambler in India, priced at Rs 7.45 lakh and Rs 8.55 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Key features of the Street Twin include new 41 mm cartridge forks with 120 mm travel; Road and Rain riding modes which adjust throttle map and traction control settings; torque-assist clutch, TPMS capability, ABS, switchable Traction Control, cast aluminium alloy wheels, new 4-piston Brembo front brake caliper, LED tail lamp, and USB charging port. Triumph said that the ergonomics has been improved as well.
The Street Scrambler too gets similar features as its Twin sibling. However, there’s an additional mode called Off-Road which turns off ABS and Traction Control altogether. The front wheel measures 19-inch while the rear is of 17-inch, for a commanding riding position.
With a unique exhaust note to match its character, the Scrambler’s high mounted twin exhaust system features brushed stainless steel headers with black heat shields, and includes a header run that integrates the catalyst system invisibly.
Both bikes are powered by a 900 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, producing 65 PS at 7,400 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Triumph said that the engine produces 18% more peak power and the rev limit is up 500 rpm to 7,500 rpm.
