The updated Audi TT range is now joined by the updated RS variants — the TT RS Coupe and TT RS Roadster. Both models get minor design tweaks.
Speaking of which, there is a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, making the car appear more wider. The designers have added gloss black side skirts too. At the rear, there is a new fixed wing with side winglets and a new diffuser. LED headlamps are standard, while the options list includes matrix LED units and matrix OLED reversing lights with a 3D design. When the ignition is switched on, the OLED reversing lights perform animations.
The wheels measure 19- or 20-inches. The calipers are painted black as standard, while the buyers can go for a red paint.
As with the exteriors, the interior layout remains largely unchanged from the outgoing model. The RS sport seats can be had with honeycomb pattern in fine Nappa leather. The 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit comes as standard, which provides information on tire pressure, torque, and g-forces as well.
The new RS design package adds red or blue highlights on the air vents, seat belts, and the floor mats with the RS logo. The extended RS design package offers contrasting design elements on the seats and center console.
Buyers can also opt for RS sport suspension plus with adaptive dampers. Their controls are also integrated into the Audi Drive Select dynamic handling system. More options include MMI navigation plus with MMI touch (including free text search and natural language voice control), Wi-Fi hotspot and Audi Connect online module.
The 2.5-litre in-line 5-cylinder TFSI engine continues to power the TT RS Coupe and Roadster, developing 294 kW (400 metric hp) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. A 7-speed S tronic transmission sends power to all four wheels via quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) or an optional 280 km/h (174 mph).
The driver has four modes available — comfort, auto, dynamic, and individual, which influence components such as the steering wheel, the S tronic, engine characteristics, and exhaust flaps.
As for the exterior colors, Kyalami Green, Pulse Orange, and Turbo Blue are new additions to an 8 color palette. Upon request, matt aluminum and gloss black styling packages highlight the blade and rear wing. The gloss black styling package includes the Audi rings and the TT RS logo in black on the front and rear. The fabric top of the TT RS Roadster is black.
The new Audi TT RS Coupe is priced at €67,700 and the Roadster starts at €70,500.
