Photos of this totalled Senna covered in fire-retardant foam were allegedly leaked online by the police. Alejandro, a high-profile YouTuber with the username Salomondrin, took the delivery of his Senna just a few days ago.
Luckily, the YouTuber and his wife walked out of the car unhurt. Alejandro denies crashing his Senna and the photos too say the same, as there seems to be no indication of any crash whatsoever. Although there’s a crack on the front splitter, that doesn’t explain the fire. At this point, there is no official statement either from Alejandro or McLaren Automotive regarding the possible cause of fire.
A piece of advice for anyone who sees flames coming out of their engines..
This incident marks the loss of third Senna. The first two from Germany and UK, respectively, were involved in a crash.
Update – Alejandro said that he was driving near his home, going up on a steep road, and he saw sparks in the rear-view mirror. He also noticed the exhaust throwing flames onto the ground. After pulling over, he tried to put out the flame with a bottle of water he had in the car, but obviously, that wouldn’t suffice. While he and his wife waited for the fire fighters to arrive, the car exploded few times too.
