Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) has launched the Model Year 2019 Hayabusa, priced at Rs 13,74,364 ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike gets new body graphics and two new colour schemes – Metallic Oort Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.
There are no other changes compared to the outgoing model. As before, the bike is powered by a 1,340 cc in-line 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine, producing 197 bhp @ 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm of torque @ 7,200 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Hayabusa features Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system, which allows the rider to select one of three engine control maps. ABS is standard.
Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL said, “For 20 years, Suzuki Hayabusa has been one of the most loved sportsbike among the enthusiasts for almost two decades and has received an excellent response in India. It is our constant endeavour to offer great products, and we are pleased to launch the 2019 edition of Hayabusa in two new colour schemes appealing to a larger fan base and enthusiasts in India.”
Recent reports suggest that the production has ended in Japan, due to the bike not meeting the Euro 4 emission norms. Meaning, the Hayabusa will be on sale until the CKD kits run out.
