India Kawasaki Motors has launched the MY19 KLX140G at Rs 406,600 ex-showroom, Delhi. The off-road bike claims to be over 30 pounds (13+ kg) lighter than the competition.
Besides the body graphics, there isn’t any changes on the new version. The KLX140G is built around a high-tensile steel frame and the bike weighs 99 kg (curb). Ground clearance is at 315 mm.
As the name suggests, the KLX140G is powered by a 144 cc single cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke engine which develops around 11.2 hp @ 8,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties are handled by a 33 mm telescopic fork at front and Uni-Trak aluminium single shock at the rear with adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping. Disc brakes measure 220 mm at front and 190 mm at the rear.
