Mahindra has launched a new S9 variant of the Scorpio, priced at Rs 13.99 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new variant slots between S7 and the top-spec S11 variant.
On the exterior, the Scorpio S9 gets projector headlamps with static bending technology, LED eyebrows, front fog lamps, and ORVM-integrated turn signals. The alloy wheels are exclusive for the top-end S11 trim.
Features inside include auto AC, steering mounted audio & cruise control buttons, electrically adjustable ORVMs, anti-pinch driver power window, 15-inch touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation, and Intellipark. However, the reverse parking camera with dynamic guidelines is exclusive for the S11 variant.
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, panic brake indication, and speed sensing auto door lock.
The S9 is powered by a 2.2-litre (2,179 cc) mHawk 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, tuned to produce 138 bhp (103 kW) @ 3,750 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,500-2,800 rpm. Transmission is a 6-speed manual.
