A bespoke McLaren 570S Spider finished in a metallic ‘Blade Silver’ has fetched £725,000 to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The car was presented to the bidder by Amanda McLaren, daughter of the company’s founder Bruce McLaren, at Pure McLaren driving event in North America.

Having raised more than four times its recommended retail value, the special 570S Spider honours the 25th anniversary of the charity foundation. Funds raised at the Argento Ball event, which took place at Elton John’s Berkshire home in the UK in June 2018, will help provide the young people who might be infected with HIV, the ability to test themselves and access to medical care, if required.
Speaking of the bespoke 570S Spider, the additional features comprises of power-adjustable and heated Sports Seats with memory, power-adjustable steering column, soft close doors and an 8-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Audio System. 10-Spoke light-weight wheels in Stealth finish, a Sports Exhaust, red brake calipers and seat belts in MSO Defined Indian Red are also fitted.
