Mercedes-Benz has launched the E-Class All-Terrain in India, priced at Rs 75 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. As the name suggests, the estate gets SUV-like rugged exterior styling elements such as twin-louvre grille, bumpers with skid plates, and body cladding.
The Dynamic Select comes as standard with All-Terrain mode, where the ground clearance can be increased by 35 mm thanks to the Airbody Control air suspension. Another key feature is that the rear seat backrest folds into a 40:20:40 split allowing for 1,820 litres of storage.
Powering the E-Class All-Terrain is the same OM654 engine that powers the E 220d LWB. The 1,950 cc in-line 4-cylinder diesel engine produces 194 hp at 3800 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1600 and 2800 rpm. A 9G-Tronic automatic sends power to all four wheels via 4Matic system.
The estate can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and on to a top speed of 231 km/h.
