In case you missed the whole story, Volkswagen is readying a small 5-seater SUV called ‘T-Cross’ which slots below the already-compact T-Roc. Besides Europe, it’ll be launched in China and South American markets. The SUV has been caught testing undisguised for the first time, somewhere in Europe.
The T-Cross is expected to come to India as well to rival the likes of Creta, as VW and Skoda have already announced €1 billion investment under their ‘India 2.0’ project, where the company expects to showcase a compact SUV (in 2020) based on the MQB-A0-IN platform – a derivative of MQB A0.
Speaking of which, the platform also underpins the new Polo, meaning the T-Cross is an “SUV” version of the Polo. The aforementioned Indian derivative will fundamentally tweak the platform to suit Indian conditions. Read more about the T-Cross here.
