Renault India has updated the Kwid for 2018 model year which the company calls “Kwid 2018 Feature Loaded Range”, with prices starting at Rs 266,700 ex-showroom, Delhi.

As for the exterior updates, the Kwid RXT(O) gets a new “razor edge” chrome grille. In terms of standard features, the mid and top-end variants get body colored bumpers, full wheel covers and front fog lamps. The Climber variants continue to carry orange accents, roof rails, and body cladding.
Depending on the variant, the updated Kwid gets integrated reverse parking camera with guidelines on the infotainment screen, chrome accents, rear arm rest, and 12V power socket for the rear passengers.
Renault has added “Rear ELR” (Emergency Locking Retractor) as standard, which allows the rear seat belt to freely extend and retract with occupant movement, yet locks the belt during a sudden stop or upon impact.
The top-spec RXT(O) and Climber variants continue to offer front seat belt pretensioners with load limiters, and a driver airbag. No ABS and passenger airbag yet.
Powertrains
No mechanical changes. The Kwid continues to be powered by a 54 hp 800 cc or a 68 hp 1000 cc 3-cylinder petrol engines. Transmission is a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
Renault India has sold more than 250,000 units of Kwid so far.
