Ducati has launched the Monster 797+ in India, priced at Rs 8.03 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India. The Plus variant gets windscreen/visor and a passenger seat cowl.
Rest of the motorcycle is the same as the standard 797. Equipment list includes LCD instrument panel, LED position lights, LED taillamp, USB power socket and Bosch ABS.
Powering the 797+ is a 803 cc L-twin cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 73 hp at 8,250 rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with ATPC clutch (slipper clutch).
Front suspension is a 43 mm Kayaba USD fork while the rear is a Sachs monoshock – pre load and rebound adjustable. Braking duties are handled by two 320 mm semi-floating discs with Brembo 4-piston calipers at the front while the rear is a single 245 mm disc with 1-piston caliper.
The 17-inch 10-spoke alloys are shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, measuring 120/70 at the front and 180/55 at the rear.
The motorcycle weighs 175 kg dry.
