BMW India has launched the diesel variants of the new 6 Series Gran Turismo, priced at Rs 66,50,000 for the Luxury Line and Rs 73,70,000 for the M Sport variant. Prices ex-showroom, Pan India.
The 630d Gran Turismo is powered by a 2993 cc inline-six TwinPower turbo diesel engine, delivering 265 hp @ 4000 rpm and 620 Nm of torque @ 2000-2500 rpm. Transmission is an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport automatic, sending power to the rear wheels. The diesel GT can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
Both variants get good amount of equipment which includes Adaptive LED headlights, active rear spoiler, BMW display key, 4-zone climate control, 12.3-inch instrument cluster, panoramic glass roof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 10.25-inch Navigation system Professional, full color head-up display, Parking assistant and Remote control parking.
The M Sport variant gets visual enhancements on the exterior including M Aerodynamics package, M leather steering wheel, Comfort seats for driver and passenger with extended features and more.
Safety kit includes airbags (front, side and head), ABS with Brake Assist and Dynamic Braking lights, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Runflat tyres with reinforced side walls.
The Luxury Line rides on 18-inch light alloy wheels shod with 245/50 tyres, while the M Sport gets 19-inch M light alloy wheels shod with mixed tyres (Front: 245/45, Rear: 275/40).
The petrol variant was launched earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2018. The car is assembled at the Chennai plant.
