The Japanese market has some really interesting and fun-looking small cars called “Kei cars”. One of them is the Honda S660 roadster. The company has just revealed a sportier version called S660 Modulo X, only for the Japanese market, of course.
To begin with, the S660 Modulo X is available in an exclusive silver metallic exterior paint finish along with white, gray and blue colors. Contributing to the sporty looks are reworked front and rear bumpers, Bordeaux Red soft-top, active spoiler, 15-inch front and 16-inch rear aluminum wheels in stealth black, and blacked-out wheel nuts.
The black interiors get genuine leather-upholstered sports seats, genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel, Modulo X instrument cluster, titanium shift knob, Bordeaux Red carpet mats, and some generous Bordeaux Red accents. The door pads get carbon fibre-like trims as well.
As the name suggests, the Kei car is powered by a 660 cc 3-cylinder turbocharged engine delivering the same 64 hp and 104 Nm (77 lb-ft) of torque in order to stay in the “Kei” category of Japan. The engine can be paired either with a CVT + paddle shifters or a 6-speed manual transmission.
However, the car’s suspension features 5-stage damping force adjustment. Also included are drilled rotors and sports brake pads.
The S660 Modulo X is priced at ¥ 2,850,120 (includes 8% consumption tax) or about Rs 17.80 lakh at the time of publishing this story.
