The Hyundai Creta, which sells in large quantities every month has a slight “premium” touch to it. The company doesn’t necessarily market it as a premium offering, but the market perceives it that way when it comes to fit and finish, equipment list and so on.
Several people i know have ended up buying the Creta over its competition such as the Duster, BR-V, Nexon, EcoSport and Brezza. They’ve dropped the Compass only because it commands a little more money.
So, the “premium” Creta always had few things missing, and one of them was the sunroof. Hyundai seems to have heard the feedback and the updated Creta has been spotted testing with a sunroof. It’ll most likely be offered in the top-spec grades such as SX+ and SX(O).
The alloy wheels in the new Creta are similar to the Creta Sport sold in Brazil (above). As for the other exterior changes, the new Creta is expected to have refreshed bumpers front and back, and a larger grille.
However, it might not be the same as the Creta facelift that went on sale in China last year. The new Creta (sold as ix25) for the Chinese market looks a lot more premium.
So, if the new Creta is offered with a sunroof in India, the only thing that’s pending is the 4WD!
