Tata Motors today announced that the Nexon production has crossed 25,000 units at the company’s Ranjangaon facility. The compact SUV was launched in September 2017. Last week, it went on sale in Nepal too.
With 17 prestigious awards, Nexon is the most awarded compact SUV of 2018, the company said.
The Nexon comes in a total of 10 variants, which includes both petrol and diesel. The petrol is a 1.2-litre (1198 cc) 3-cylinder turbocharged ‘Revotron’ unit, producing 110 PS @ 5000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque @ 1750 – 4000 rpm. The diesel is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged ‘Revotorq’ unit, with an output of 110 PS @ 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque @ 1500 – 2750 rpm. Both engines are paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
