BMW is celebrating 3 decades of open-top performance with the M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre. The M4 Convertible succeeded the 1988 M3 Convertible.
The special edition is limited to 300 units and features the M Competition Package. The open-top four-seater packs a 3.0 inline-6 TwinPower Turbo petrol producing 331 kW/450 hp and 550 Nm of torque, M Sport exhaust system, adaptive M suspension with Sport mode, stability control system (DSC) in a sporty configuration, and the Active M differential.
There is a choice of two body colours for the M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre. Macao Blue Metallic giving reference to the car’s debut 3 decades ago, and Mandarin II uni – which is reminiscent of the Dakar Yellow, which was available for the second generation M3 Convertible.
Standard features include BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line trims for the kidney grille surround, the M side gills, the model lettering, and the forged M light alloys boasting a star-spoke design. The 20-inch wheels come in Orbit Grey matt color offered exclusively for the edition model.
Interiors get Merino full leather trim matching the desired body paintwork. In conjunction with the exterior colour Macao Blue metallic, there is a choice of the two-tone color combinations Black/Fjord Blue and Black/Silverstone. The exclusive features also comprise corresponding contrast stitching on the headrests as well as M floor mats with piping in the respective contrasting color. Black interior surfaces with yellow contrast stitching are offered in conjunction with Mandarin II uni, whilst interior trim strips in the version Carbon Fibre come as standard for all edition model variants.
Furthermore, the lettering “30 Jahre Edition” is imprinted both on the door sills and the headrests. A signet on the interior trim strip on the passenger side dashboard area boasts, in addition to the lettering “30 Jahre Edition”, the number “1/300”, giving reference to the limited series.
