Audi has launched the second generation Q5 in India at Rs 53.25 lakh for the Premium Plus while the fully-loaded Technology Plus trim is priced at Rs 57.60 lakh, both prices ex-showroom, Delhi.
The new generation was globally unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Built on the MLB evo platform, the new Q5 is lighter by around 90 kg compared to the previous model. The aerodynamics have been improved as well with the drag coefficient of 0.30 Cd.
Features include LED headlamps and tail lamps with dynamic turn signals, virtual cockpit, 3-zone climate control, MMI navigation plus, adaptive air suspension, Hill Descent Control, 8 airbags and more.
Powering the new Q5 is a 2.0 TDI with an output of 140 kW (190 hp) @ 3,800 – 4,200 rpm and 400 Nm of torque @ 1,750 – 3,000 rpm, paired to a 7-Speed dual clutch transmission sending power to the all four wheels via quattro AWD system.
The SUV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 218 km/h.
