The 2018 Ford Mustang facelift, globally unveiled a year ago, has landed in India. The car has been spotted at what appears to be a dealership stockyard.
The new Mustang in its Shelby GT350 variant produces 526 hp and 429 lb.-ft. (582 Nm) of torque from its naturally aspirated 5.2L V8. With a redline of 8,250 rpm, the engine is Ford’s highest-revving production V8 yet. Other engine options include a 460 hp 5.0L V8 and a 2.3L EcoBoost. Depending on the variant, transmission options include 6-Speed manual or a 10-Speed SelectShift automatic.
The Mustang was introduced in India in its 6th generation back in July 2016, at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 65 lakh. The car was imported as a CBU, and all the units were sold out.
The 2018 facelift too is expected to be priced attractively, and will most likely get the same 5.0 V8 with a higher state of tune. The car will not be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as Ford is one of the several companies who will be skipping the event. Checkout more pics of the 2018 Ford Mustang here.
