Ford seems to be tempted by the i20 Active, Etios Cross and the Cross Polo, that they are developing a ‘Cross’ of their own. The images acquired by Carwale showcase the front of the yet-to-be-named car completely undisguised.
Besides the raised ride height, the image showcases a more rugged-looking bumper design and a butch styling. Notice the black stripes on the bonnet as well.
As for the interiors, the centre console has been redesigned to accommodate a floating-style touchscreen infotainment, which is placed in a similar way we’ve seen in the AMG GT R. Perhaps, the display is supplied by the same company? Not completely sure.
Most likely, the infotainment will feature Ford’s SYNC3, developed by Harman.
As for the powertrain, the car is expected to feature a new 1.2-litre Dragon series’ petrol engine. The recently-launched EcoSport facelift has a 1.5-litre Dragon series unit.
The launch might take place after February, as the company is one of the many who are expected to skip the Auto Expo 2018.
