Royal Enfield has unveiled two new 650 cc bikes at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650 are powered by a newly-developed 650 cc parallel-twin engine that was unveiled in the UK a few days ago.
Both bikes have classic/retro styling while the Continental GT (featured above) gets a cafe racer touch with an optional single seat configuration. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both sides, measuring 320 and 240 mm, front and rear, respectively. Both bikes get ABS as standard equipment.
Royal Enfield said that the chassis has been developed from the ground up by the company’s team at UK Technology Centre, and Harris Performance.
As we saw before, the new 648 cc parallel-twin engine makes 47 hp @ 7100 rpm and 52 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a slip-assist clutch.
Royal Enfield is expected to showcase the bikes at the 2018 Auto Expo near Delhi.
