Hidden in the Tesla Semi was this new Tesla Roadster. Just like the Semi, the new Roadster too boasts some impressive figures.

To begin with, the total torque output is claimed to be 10,000 Nm (7,375 lb-ft). The new Roadster is an all-wheel-drive vehicle with two motors at the rear and one on the front axle. A 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) acceleration is claimed to happen in 1.9 seconds, making it the quickest production car in the world. Few more claimed numbers are a 0-100 mph (161 km/h) time of 4.2 seconds and 1/4 mile in 8.8 seconds. The top speed is claimed to be over 250 mph (402 km/h).

The 250 kWh battery pack is claimed to be capable of a 620-mile (998 km) range.

The glass roof is detachable and stored in the trunk.

The base model sports a price tag of $200,000 with $50,000 for reservation. For the ‘Founders Series’, limited to 1,000 units, you’ll need to pay the full $250,000.

The new Tesla Roadster is expected on the roads sometime in 2020.
