Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the updated Scorpio at Rs 9.97 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new Scorpio gets minor design upgrades and more power than the outgoing model.

Exterior features include redesigned front grille, projector headlamps with static bending technology, LED eye brows, new fog lamp housing, ORVMs with integrated turn signals, new 17-inch alloy wheels, redesigned tail gate and red lens LED tail lamps.
Interior features include faux leather upholstery, automatic climate control, 6-inch touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation, Shift-on-Fly 4WD (S11), rain and light sensors, 1-touch lane change indicator, reversing camera, Intellipark and more.
Safety kit includes dual front airbags, 9.1 Bosch ABS, auto door lock, speed alert, Panic Brake Indication and few more.
Powertrain
Powering the new Scorpio is a choice of two diesel engines. The base S3 is powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo, producing 75 hp @ 3200 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1400-2200 rpm, paired to a 5-speed manual.
The rest of the variants are powered a 2.2 litre 4-cylinder mHawk with variable geometry turbocharger, producing two state of tunes. The lower tune produces 120 hp @ 4000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque @ 1800-2800 rpm, paired to a 5-speed manual, and in the higher tune, the engine produces 140 hp @ 3750 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1500-2800 rpm, paired to a 6-speed manual. No automatic variant on offer at the moment.
Mahindra claims a more pleasurable ride with the cushion suspension and anti-roll technologies.
