Nissan has revealed the Leaf Nismo, the sportier version of the company’s flagship electric car. Nissan still calls it a “concept”, and it’ll be showcased at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show in just a couple of weeks.
The Leaf Nismo gets the exterior designed by Nismo, Nissan’s motorsports and in-house tuning division. The body kit comprises of redesigned bumpers, an aggressive diffuser, and gloss-black roof with blacked-out A-pillars and roof line. The red accents have been applied tastefully on the bumpers, side skirts and on the wing mirrors. Rounding off the sporty exterior looks are the Nismo alloy wheels. The car looks wider and sits lower than the standard 2018 Leaf.
The all-black interior features Nismo’s signature red accents and red contrast stichings.
The Leaf Nismo gets a sport-tuned suspension and high-performance tires to match its looks. Nissan said that the car also gets a custom-tuned computer that delivers instant acceleration at all speeds. More information is expected in due course.
