Tata Motors has launched the much awaited and highly anticipated Nexon compact SUV at Rs 5.85 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The SUV comes in four trims and the variant wise introductory ex-Delhi prices are listed below –

Nexon is the 4th product from Tata Motors to adopt the IMPACT design language after Tiago, Tigor and Hexa. Exterior features include Ivory White accents on fog lamps, side beltline and tailgate, dual-tone roof color, projector headlamps, feline-eye DRLs, LED tail lamps, roof rails, shark fin antenna with GPS, and 16-inch machined alloy wheels.
Interior features include a layered three-tone dashboard, sliding tambour door, 1L bottle holder in all doors, 6.5-inch Harman infotainment system, Android Auto, Juke-Car app, voice command, 8 speaker system, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver’s seat, height adjustable front seat belts, smart key with push button start, and cooled glovebox.

Safety
Moving on to the safety features, dual front airbags and ABS with EBD are standard across all variants. Other safety kit includes park assist with rear sensors, reversing camera, day & night IRVM, rear fog lamps, and rear defogger.
Colors
There are 5 colors to choose from – Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey, and Calgary White.
Powertrains
The business end then. Powering the Nexon is a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a 1.2-litre (1198 cc) 3-cylinder turbocharged ‘Revotron’ unit, producing 110 PS @ 5000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque @ 1750 – 4000 rpm. The diesel is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged ‘Revotorq’ unit, with an output of 110 PS @ 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque @ 1500 – 2750 rpm. Both engines are paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The SUV comes with Eco, City, and Sport driving modes.
