VW Group’s Spanish brand SEAT has taken the wraps off its most powerful car – the Leon Cupra R. It’ll also be SEAT’s most exclusive car, owing to the fact that there will be only 799 units.
The Leon Cupra R from its 2.0L TSI makes 310 PS with the manual transmission, an extra 10 PS over the Cupra it replaces. However, with the DSG transmission, the output is 300 PS. As for the transmission, both are 6-speed units driving the front wheels.
There are some stand-out details on the bodywork such as exclusive carbon fibre details on the front and rear spoilers, side skirts and rear diffuser. Wing mirrors and rims have copper detailing. Wheel arches have been powerfully integrated with the air intakes.
The SEAT Leon Cupra R will be available at the end of 2017 and the 799 lucky owners will be able to enjoy an interior that is also been given the carbon fibre and copper treatment, as well as the steering wheel and the gearstick upholstered in Alcantara, said the Spanish brand. There will be three colors to choose from – Midnight Black, Pyrenees Grey and the exclusive Matte Grey.
The car also receives a few extras. On the front axle, the camber has been modified and so are the adaptive suspension DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) and Brembo brakes. There is a new exhaust system too.
