The Ford EcoSport facelift, which was unveiled almost a year ago at the 2016 LA Auto Show, is all set to make its India debut next month, reportedly. The updated compact crossover has been spotted testing on the Indian roads multiple times.
Talking about the exterior design, the new EcoSport is literally a “facelift”. The large grille has been pushed completely upwards eliminating the small one. The headlamp cluster has been redesigned with Xenon units and LED DRLs. The bumper too has been redesigned with large fog lamps. The Brazil-spec model we’re seeing here gets a new 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors get better ergonomics with a floating style 8-inch touschscreen featuring Ford’s SYNC 3 software. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Navigation, AppLink, and Voice Commands are expected in the India-spec model too.
Other expected features include auto AC, rain sensors, auto headlamps, cruise control, and a host of safety kit including at least 6 airbags on the top-spec variant.
The Brazil-spec model gets an electric sunroof too.
Powertrains
As for the powertrains, Ford might carry forward the 1.0L Eco Boost petrol and 1.5L diesel motors. However, a new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol is expected to join the engine options.
