Ducati has added two new bikes to its portfolio in India – the SuperSport and SuperSport S, priced at Rs 12.08 lakh and Rs 13.39 lakh ex-showroom, respectively.
Design wise, the bikes take inspiration from the Panigale series. The lightweight chassis results in a kerb weight of just 210 kg. Both bikes are powered by a 937 cc Testastretta L-Twin cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 110 hp @ 9,000 rpm and 93 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Front suspension is fully adjustable with 43 mm usd Marzocchi forks, while the rear is an adjustable Sachs monoshock. Braking duties are handled by twin 320 mm discs with 4 piston calipers at front, and a single 245 mm disc with 2 piston calipers at the rear.
Equipment wise, there is LCD instrumentation, Riding Modes, Power Modes, Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch ABS + Ducati Traction Control), Adjustable windscreen, and anti-theft system.
The top-spec SuperSport S gets Ohlins adjustable suspension both front and rear, and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) – a race-derived electronic system that lets riders shift up/down without the clutch.
