Audi has launched the Audi on demand+, a premium mobility service in Beijing. The company plans to expand to other large cities across China in the coming years.
Users select the car they want with an individual configuration via smartphone app for booking. Time periods between 4 hours and 30 days can be chosen, and the service is billed by the hour. The all-inclusive rate includes unlimited driving mileage and insurance coverage.
The Audi on demand+ selection consists mostly of new products with a full range of equipment, said the company. Audi Sport models as well as premium, long version sedans are also available for booking.
An exclusive concierge service delivers the booked car to the customer’s preferred place within an area of at least 150 sq km, which includes CBD, Beijing’s main business district and other relevant boroughs. After the customer is done using it, the concierge service picks up the Audi again. Furthermore, the concierge desk assists customers to acquaint themselves with their Audi. Clients will also be able to collect the vehicle by themselves at the central office.
Payment can be made with the smartphone app too. Customers can choose from a number of options including WeChat, AliPay and UnionPay.
