Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift launched at Rs 30.65 lakh

Nearly 6 months after its global premiere at NAIAS in Detroit, Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLA facelift in India, priced at Rs 30.65 lakh, ex-showroom. There is one petrol and three diesel variants on offer, and the ex-showroom prices with GST implementation are listed below.

Features
Feature list includes LED headlamps (standard), 8-inch floating display with Apple CarPlay and Android auto, Artico upholstery, electrically adjustable driver and passenger seat with memory, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting in 12 colors, cruise control, 6 airbags, ABS, Brake Assist (BAS), ESP, Attention Assist, Hill Start Assist & HOLD, Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR), off-road package and many more.

Powertrains
The GLA facelift carries over powertrains from the outgoing model. The petrol is a 2.0-litre (1,991 cc) 4-cylinder motor, producing 183 hp at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,200 – 1,400 rpm. The diesel is a 2.1-litre (2,143 cc) 4-cylinder unit, producing 136 hp at 3,600 – 4,400 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,600 – 3,000 rpm. In the 4Matic AWD variant, the diesel motor is tuned to produce 170 hp between 3,400 – 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque between 1,400 – 3,400 rpm. All models come with 7-Speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard.

It looks like Mercedes-Benz India wants to keep the new 2.0 4-cylinder turbo diesel exclusive to the new E 220 d for some time.

There are 5 colors to choose from – Jupiter Red, Cirrus White, Mountain Grey, Polar Silver, and Canyon Beige. Check out some pics here.

The GLA’s chassis has been raised by 30 mm for Indian conditions.
