Hyundai Motor has unveiled ‘Elec City’, a 290 km (180 miles) range electric bus at ‘Hyundai Truck & Bus Mega Fair’ in Korea. Hyundai demonstrated its vision for future commercial vehicle technologies at the inaugural Mega Fair in Korea by displaying its full range of commercial vehicles.
Hyundai said that the key goal is to develop alternative-fuel powertrains, environmentally-focused buses and heavy-goods vehicles, with intelligent safety technologies in mind. Hyundai aims to increase the fuel efficiency of its commercial vehicles by up to 30% by 2020 compared to 2015. To achieve this goal, the company will enhance its R&D capabilities in powertrain technology while also optimising each of its commercial vehicle models.
