It looks like GM India’s troubles are far from over. The dealers who were upset about the insufficient compensation, are now organizing a peaceful ‘dharna’ at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, today at 12 noon.
GM India dealers say that there are 96 dealers running 120+ showrooms, with a total investment of INR 1,320 crores, and now over 15,000 people are left with no future.
The dealers complain that the management is adamant to pay despite various representations by them. John Paul Kuttukaran, President of FADA says that the management kept making false promises to dealers even though they knew all along that they were going to close shop in India.
