Couple of weeks ago, we saw Novitec Esteso, a widebody Maserati Levante. Today, the German tuner has sent some pics of the Novitec N-Largo, a widebody version of the Ferrari 488 GTB. The mods are available for the Spider version too.
With a total width of 209 centimetres, the widebody version tops a standard 488 by precisely 14 centimetres at the rear axle. The side elements are seven centimetres wider than the standard fenders on each side of the vehicle.
The wheel wells are now larger to make space for the NF6 NL 21 and 22-inch wheels. The front fenders have been replaced with custom fenders, to widen the track and emphasize the hourglass shape of the car. There are some aero bits for improved airflow, and larger air vents for improved cooling of the brakes and engine bay.
At the rear, there is a diffuser integrated into the custom bumper and a large rear wing, generating some additional downforce. Other features are the black side indicators, reflectors and a black LED third brake light.
Novitec has installed a special sport springs to lower the ride height of the vehicle by up to 35 mm. There’s an optional Front Lift system to make it easier to navigate steep ramps or speed humps. At the touch of a button, the hydraulic ride-height adjustment raises the front axle by about 40 millimetres. The vehicle reverts to the drive position at a second touch of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h.
Novitec also offers various performance kits for the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8. The special feature of the engine tuning is that it can be activated instantly with the Manettino switch on the steering wheel and can just as easily be reset to the standard output. The N-Tronic plug-and-play control modules are integrated into the engine electronics. They operate the eight-cylinder with reprogrammed mapping for injection and ignition, as well as with modified boost pressure control.
The tuning puts out 772 hp @ 7,950 rpm, 102 hp more than the standard, and also adds 132 Nm of torque for a new peak of 892 Nm at a low 3,250 rpm. The increased output results in a 0 – 100 km/h sprint in just 2.8 seconds, and a top speed of 342 km/h.
A high-performance exhaust system is available with an electronic sound management system. Novitec also tailors the cockpit to the personal preferences.
