Swedish hypercar maker Koenigsegg has confirmed in a press release that an Agera RS has crashed during testing at a track in Trollhattan, where the driver lost control in wet conditions. The company says the car was undergoing shakedown testing, typical for a vehicle after the completion of manufacturing.

The testing was being performed at facilities owned by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS). Koenigsegg says the NEVS facilities are being used for testing and to prepare its cars for the US market, along with its own testing facilities in Ängelholm. Both driver and passenger were rushed to the local hospital and released shortly thereafter.

Koenigsegg said the vehicle’s body work is damaged but from initial inspection, there does not appear to be any structural damage, nor has any technical fault been found. Its not the first time Koenigsegg has crashed its car. Previously, a One:1 was crashed at Nurburgring.

As for the Agera RS, only 25 units are being produced, and reportedly, all of them have been sold out.
