BMW launches the most powerful 7 Series in India, the M760Li xDrive and the M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence, priced at Rs 2.27 Crore ex-showroom, Delhi. These two models are equipped with the M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol engine. While the standard M760Li emphasizes the sporty appearance, the V12 Excellence is more on the luxury side of the vehicle. Both models include elegant exterior and interior components from the BMW Individual portfolio.
Both models are powered by a 6.6 litre V12 TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, producing 610 hp @ 5,250 – 6,000 rpm and a massive 800 Nm of torque starting at just 1,500 rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with paddle shifters. 0 – 100 km/h acceleration is claimed at 3.7 seconds. Both models come with xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system as standard. As a part of its driving dynamics, the M760Li features active chassis regulation system with 2-axle air suspension, Dynamic Damper Control as well as Active Steering. There is the M sport exhaust system with air vent control which varies between a discreetly elegant style and an emotive 12-cylinder sound.
The V12 Excellence gets more luxurious visual appeal. The Pure Excellence package gets 20” BMW Individual light-alloy wheels and the M sport brake with callipers in high-gloss black. At the front, the V12 Excellence has a chrome strip in the air inlet grid. The kidney grille slats are finished in silver with chrome-plated fronts and decorative frame. The window frames, the Air Breather with the decorative door trim and the V12 lettering on the C pillar are also in Light Chrome. Gleaming at the rear above the chrome-plated grip strip are the xDrive badge on the left side of the luggage compartment lid and the V12 emblem instead of the model designation.
Interiors feature headliner in Alcantara and the door sill finishers in Aluminium with illuminated V12 model designation. Other elegant touches include fine wood inlays for the seat-belt outlets, armrests and roof handles in the rear as well as the leather steering wheel. Turning on the ignition displays a V12 emblem in the centre of the instrument cluster.
