We saw the updated 2 Series recently which included the M240i as well. Now, BMW has unveiled the M240i M Performance Edition which features many exterior components from the M Performance accessory program. The carbon fibre and black detail parts provide distinctive contrasts to the Alpine White paintwork.
The enhanced sporty look starts with the 19-inch light alloy wheels, shod with 225/35 R19 (front) and 245/30 R19 (rear) tires. The double-spoke forged wheels are finished in bi-color Orbit Grey and have a diamond polished visible side. The front section features aerodynamic bits consisting of air guides, splitter and the lip spoiler finished in matte black. The radiator grille including kidney grille bars are also in black. Rear-end gets partly painted diffuser and a carbon-fibre spoiler. The carbon fibre tailpipe trim gets an embossed M logo. Carbon fibre ORVM caps and the side sill foils with M Performance inscription round off the dynamic appearance of the M240i M Performance Edition.
The M240i M Performance Edition is powered a 3.0 litre inline 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, producing 250 kW/340 hp. The engine can be had either with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission.
Only 750 units are going to be made and will be available from July 2017. Assembled exclusively at the BMW Leipzig plant.
