Skoda’s first 7-seater SUV Kodiaq has been listed on Skoda India’s official website with the En Route tag, meaning the SUV will be in the market soon. Interested folks can submit their contact details on the website to know more. Unveiled in Berlin last year in September, the Kodiaq was designed by Jozef Kabaň before he moved to BMW.
Built on the VW Group’s MQB platform, the Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm long, 1,882 mm wide and 1,676 mm tall (including roof rails), and has a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. The SUV is already on sale in the international markets, and costs £21,565 (Rs 18 lakh) now in UK.
Internationally, there are five engine choices. Two TDI and three TSI engines, ranging from 1.4 to 2.0 litre. Depending on the engine, there is a 6-speed manual gearbox or DSG transmissions with 6-speed or 7-speed DCT. The all-wheel drive is offered in the top-of-the-range engines, the TDI with 140 kW (190 PS) and the TSI with 132 kW (180 PS), paired to a 7-speed DSG.
The Kodiaq was spotted testing in India sans camouflage last month. Learn more about Kodiaq and its features here.
