Nissan updated the Sunny in January this year, adding a new Sandstone Brown colour and few more features. The price cut makes it the most affordable car in the segment.
The CAAAR gets a good amount of features, including keyless entry with push button start, steering mounted controls, auto AC and audio system with bluetooth. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS + EBD, brake assist and reverse parking camera with rear parking sensors.
The petrol engine is a 1.5 litre (1498 cc) unit with an output of 101 PS @ 5600 rpm and 134 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. The diesel too is a 1.5 litre (1461 cc) unit, producing 86 PS @ 3750 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm. Both engines are paired to a 5-Speed manual as standard, and the petrol gets a CVT option as well.
Nissan says the price cut is a result of increased levels of localization at its production facility in Oragadam, Chennai.
