Any modren day car with a touchscreen infotainment system got to have that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Those two “complete” the package. If not both, atleast one of them have to be there. So, lets take a look at the updates Mahindra’s best seller XUV500 gets.
Android Auto
You can connect your Android device to the infotainment system, and also access its functionalities through voice commands or steering mounted buttons.
Connected Apps
There is a host of apps like Gaana, Cricket Live, Zomato, Bookmyshow on the infotainment system, which can be accessed through a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Ecosense
Mahindra says, Ecosense is a unique technology that helps you optimize your fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions by assisting you in driving more efficiently. It gives you an Ecoscore on your infotainment system, based on the parameters such as Speed, Gear Selection, Acceleration, Idling, Clutch Usage and Brake Usage.
Emergency Call
In case of an accident, and if the airbags are deployed, this feature automatically calls the emergency services number 108. It even goes on to send a text alert to 2 pre-set numbers, through a paired mobile device.
Interiors
Along with the new “Lake-Side Brown” exterior colour, the interiors get an all-black theme (black seats and black dashboard), exclusive to the aforementioned new colour. Android Auto, Ecosense and Emergency Call are available from the W6 trim, while the Connected Apps and premium black interior are exclusive to the W10 trim.
