Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirms that his team is busy working on a heavy duty semi truck, all set to unveil this September. He also congratulated the team for doing an “amazing job” and taking it to a “next level”.

Along with the semi truck program, Tesla is also working on a pick-up truck which Musk says to be unveiled in 18 to 24 months. Both these big projects are reportedly headed by Jerome Guillen, who was previously in charge of Daimler’s Cascadia semi truck program. Jerome was also the program director of Tesla Model S.
Now the questions are all about the hauling capacity, range, speed and fast charging of an all-electric semi truck. I can hardly wait.
