Porsche has added Cayenne S to its Platinum Edition range, with petrol and diesel variants priced at Rs 1.27 Crore and Rs 1.31 Crore (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), respectively. The Platinum Edition is all about styling upgrades both on the interior and exterior.
The Cayenne S Platinum Edition rides on 21-inch Sport Edition wheels with a touch of satin and gloss black finish. The SUV can be had in regular black or white paint jobs, or in four optional metallic shades – Rhodium Silver, Mahogany, Jet Black, and Carrara White. The wheel arch extensions will be finished in the same color as the rest of the body. Adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, black-tinted windows, front and rear parking sensors, and auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors come as a standard package.
Platinum Edition scuff plates will welcome the occupants. Other standard features include 8-way electric Sports seats with Alcantara inserts, heated front seats, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, BOSE Surround Sound System, and floor mats.
No mechanical changes under the hood. The petrol is a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6, producing 420 hp and 520 Nm of torque. On the diesel side, there is a 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8, producing 385 hp and a healthy 850 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels via Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system.
