Maruti Suzuki will officially launch the Baleno RS on March 3, and a production-spec model has been spotted by a Facebook user, at what appears to be a dealer stock yard. Looking at the photos, you wont find any difference from the one which was displayed as a concept at Auto Expo 2016, which is not a bad thing at all.
The RS sports a slightly different bumper design, both front and back compared to the regular Baleno, which remains unchanged from the concept. The front bumper splitter, side skirts, and black alloy wheels makes it to the production as well.
Other than the bumper design, there is an RS badge to visually differentiate from the regular model. Few weeks ago, the technical details were also surfaced online, which revealed that Maruti has detuned the 1.0 litre (998 cc) BoosterJet engine for Indian conditions.
The engine produces 101 hp of power @ 5500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque @ 1700 – 4500 rpm, compared to 111 hp and 170 Nm of torque of the UK/International model. Transmission will be a 5 Speed manual.
