One of the things that makes a car appear more ‘premium’ is to NOT carry the brand badge in letters, and not have the variant badge either. Because lets face it, you don’t want people to know that you drive a ‘mid variant’ of a ‘premium’ car. Luxury brands go even one step further, and will have just the logo. If you remember, Volkswagen did slap the full Volkswagen letter badge on Vento and Polo sometime ago, probably on some brand consulting firm’s advice, and later realized how harmful it is than of any help.
So before the Ciaz (facelift) is moved to the premium retail chain NEXA, it has to be made ‘premium’. Not that it isn’t already, it has got the looks, perfect size, and a good amount of kit, it totally deserves to be in NEXA, but the essential bit is to remove the ‘Maruti Suzuki’ and the variant badges. Because that’s the whole point of NEXA.
As we can see in these pictures, the petrol variant will just have the S logo and Ciaz badge, while the diesel will carry the extra SHVS decoration.
