Mercedes-Benz has announced that they’ll be launching the AMG C 43 in India on December 14th. This will be their 13th product for India for the year 2016, up from its original plan of 12.
As the name suggests, the C 43 is an entry level AMGized version of the C-Class, and will have a 3.0 litre V6 biturbo petrol engine instead of a 4.0 V8 biturbo in the C 63 range. The 3.0 litre engine produces 367 hp @ 5500 – 6000 rpm and 520 Nm of torque @ 2000 – 4200 rpm.
A 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution will come as standard.
Globally, the AMG C 43 is sold in Coupe and Cabriolet body styles, but for India it will come as a four door sedan. Expect features such as speed-sensitive sports steering, AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with adaptive three-stage adjustable damping, Three-stage ESP, 18-inch AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels and many more.
