KTM has unveiled the updated 390 Duke at 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. Ever since its introduction here in India, the bike has been a massive success for the company both in terms of sales and popularity. It has been the first choice of a college goer or someone who just landed in a job.
And boy! the orange looks more brighter than ever in this new 2017 390 Duke! The updated design is more aggressive, and appears to be inspired by its bigger brother – the SuperDuke.
Besides the new chassis and bodywork, the 2017 KTM 390 Duke now gets ride-by-wire technology, a TFT instrument panel, standard ABS, Full LED split headlamp with DRL.
The new 390’s exhaust is now side mounted unlike the outgoing model’s underbelly exhaust. The 373 cc single cylinder engine has been updated to meet Euro 4 emission norms, there’s a new catalytic converter. While the 32 kw (44 hp) of power remains the same, the fuel tank now measures 13.4 litres.
As mentioned earlier, the 2017 KTM Duke 390 gets 2-channel Bosch ABS which can be disengaged for stunt riding purposes. It also gets a 4-piston caliper, larger 320 mm front disc. Expected in India first quarter 2017.
