BMW-owned marque Mini has launched the Cooper S Carbon Edition in India, priced at Rs 39.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan-India. The car will be bought to India via CBU route, and are limited to 20 units. Interested folks can order on Amazon.
The Mini Cooper S Carbon Edition gets JCW (John Cooper Works) tuning kit and body parts. Powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 210 hp @ 4500 – 6000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 1250 – 4500 rpm. There’s about 19 hp and 20 Nm more than the regular Cooper S. The 6-speed automatic transmission remains the same.
JCW parts include Alcantara leather/Dinamica JCW sports seats, valve exhaust system with sport and track mode, Bluetooth exhaust control, JCW aerodynamic body kit, body stripes, carbon fibre tailpipe, 17-inch ‘Cosmos’ alloy wheels, JCW door sills and JCW leather steering wheel with paddle shifters.
Safety kit includes front and passenger airbags, brake assist, 3 point seat belts, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, ABS, cornering brake control and run-flat indicator.
Interior features include a 6.6-inch or 8.8-inch infotainment system, head-up display, anthracite headliner and so on. The Mini Cooper S Carbon Edition can be had in 3 colours – Midnight Black, Thunder Grey & Pepper White.
