Nissan India has started pre-bookings for the 2017 GT-R for a deposit of Rs 25 lakhs. The company has also established a toll-free helpline 1-800-209-3456 to handle any queries regarding the same. The GT-R which was showcased at Auto Expo earlier this year was the outgoing model, and India will be getting the new 2017 model.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8 litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine producing 562 hp and 637 Nm of torque, and is mated to a 6 Speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The company says, the gear changes can happen in 0.15 seconds in R Mode. The GT-R is an all wheel drive vehicle (rear biased). The electronically controlled AWD system provides nearly 100% of available torque to the rear wheels, and can send up to 50% of torque to the front wheels. 0-100 happens in just under 3 seconds.
Some of the key features include 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose audio system, active noise cancellation, titanium exhaust with sound control, automatic headlamps, 6 airbags, ABS+EBD, traction control system, vehicle dynamic control, tyre pressure monitoring system and so on.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R has a drag co-efficient of 0.26. There are 7 colors to choose from, namely Katsura Orange, Pearl Black, Gun Metallic, Ultimate Silver, Daytona Blue, Vibrant Red and Storm White.
The company has already imported 7 cars into the country, and the launch might be just around the corner.
